About Pattie Ann Wilkes

Hi! Welcome to my website. My name is Pattie Ann Wilkes, and I have been around horses all of my life. When I was a child, I lived with my parents and two older brothers on a sprawling ranch. My parents raised beef cattle for a living. In addition, we also harvested enough vegetables and fruits to keep our freezer stocked with healthy, delicious, and colorful foods.

At an early age, I learned how to ride a horse. We often rode horses during cattle tasks. We also used them for transportation when we surveyed our crops. Of course, they weren’t only used for work. Whenever I found free time, I would ride my favorite horse for hours. I enjoyed feeling my hair flying around in the breeze. For me, riding a horse was complete freedom from work, anxiety, and stress.

When I graduated high school, I went to college to study animal science. Since graduating college 10 years ago, I’ve worked at a rescue shelter for abused horses. A fan of both English and Western riding, I compete in various dressage and rodeo events. In my spare time, I strive to learn new horse riding stunts that rodeo spectators will admire. I created this website in order to share my knowledge and passion for horses with others. On this website, you will learn about 3 characteristics of English riding, discover 3 characteristics of Western riding, and find out about 3 amazing acrobatic horse riding tricks.
